The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test was conducted by the Board of Secondary, Education Odisha on 17th August 2024 at various examination centres across the state. Many candidates who aspired to become teachers participated in the exam.

OTET Result 2024— Overview

The Online application forms were received from eligible candidates from 24 June to 5 July 2024. The Board announced the exam date and issued admit cards to the applicants. As the examination was completed on 17th August 2024, the board will declare the OTET Result in the upcoming weeks.

Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test Highlights

The OTET Examination was divided into two papers. Paper 1 is designed for candidates who wish to teach classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 is aimed at those who aspire to teach classes 6 to 8. Each paper consisted of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs), with each question carrying 1 mark, making the total score 150 marks per paper. The candidates had 2.5 hours to complete each paper.

OTET Qualifying Marks

The minimum qualifying marks the OTET 2024 are a crucial factor that determines whether a candidate qualifies for the eligibility certificate. The qualifying marks for the OTET have been set at 60% for the General Category, which translates to 19 marks out of 150. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), and Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC) the qualifying marks are set at 50%.

• Go to the official website of the board at bseodisha.ac.in.

• From the homepage, click on the ‘Results’ section given in the main menu bar.

• Click on the link for “OTET Result 2024”.

• You will be prompted to enter your roll number and other necessary details as per the instructions.

• After entering the details, click on the “Submit Button”. Your OTET 2024 result will be displayed on the screen.

• It is advisable to download and take a printout of your result for future reference.
